Motego Solution Element Library
Release Roadmap
Version 0.2
This is the release of version 0.2 of the Academic Motego Solution Element library (March 2025). V0.2 contains fully executable solution elements for nine specific mechanical contacts, consisting of basic contact models found in the literature. These contacts are:
- Lubricated Mechanical Line Rolling Contact - Ideal Rolling
- Lubricated Mechanical Planar Drilling Contact - Sliding Friction
- Lubricated Mechanical Planar Drilling Contact - Surface Pressure
- Lubricated Mechanical Planar Sliding Contact - Hydrodynamics
- Lubricated Mechanical Point Rolling Contact - Ideal Rolling
- Lubricated Mechanical Point Sliding Contact - Sliding Friction
- Mechanical Line Contact - Surface Pressure
- Mechanical Planar Contact - Coulomb Friction
- Mechanical Planar Contact - Surface Pressure
Additionally, the release offers five use cases that demonstrate the application of the solution element. These are:
- Deep Groove Ball Bearing
- Journal Bearing
- Cylindrical Roller Bearing
- Thread Anchor
- Screw Connection
