Feature/pre release changes

This MR consolidates some minor changes required for the release.

These include:

• only package the current python wheel
• warnings regarding version compatibilites
• minor fixes to the python interface
• directivity handling changes
• note on OpenGL coordinates
• addition of a changelog
• example improvements
