The time is going by inconsitent. After a while even the speed up version is slower than the normal version should be. After clicking speed up and waiting > 1 second the one time step happens. But then it takes more than 5 seconds (depending on how far into the game). If you repeat the speed up click "mechanic" then the times goes by fast.
