Thoughts on timing

See agenda here: https://events.hifis.net/event/2672/timetable/#20251007

We finished almost 20-30 minutes earlier before the first coffee break and did the "walkthrough" as a time-buffer.

  1. We could have done the short dataset descriptions already for the small groups to foster break discussions.
  2. Amend the timetable accordingly.
  3. add a timing instruction for the dataset descriptions (we did 10+10 for small groups, +10 for discussing 2 datasets infront of the group) > Can do a total of 15 minutes instead.

We stopped the ontology lecture at 12:40 for the lunch break at this point: https://workshop-biometadata-05-d6cb6c.pages.rwth-aachen.de/lectures/ontologies-for-biological-data.html#/exercise-find-your-ontology-terms-connect-the-dots

We stopped the second ontology lecture for the coffee break at 15:10 at this point: https://workshop-biometadata-05-d6cb6c.pages.rwth-aachen.de/lectures/ontologies-and-where-to-find-them.html#/the-paradox-of-standards---what-to-do-when-nothing-fits and skimmed over the exc https://workshop-biometadata-05-d6cb6c.pages.rwth-aachen.de/lectures/ontologies-and-where-to-find-them.html#/exercise-ntr

and finished at ~16:00 (?) before starting the DataHarmonizer lecture.

The introduction to DataHarmonizer was finished at ca. 16:30. Feedback session was max. 10 minutes with follow-up questions.

We did a 5 Minute "What is NFDI4Microbiota" to pass the time before Anandhi did a 30 minute GHGA introduction.

I think we can "Save 1 hour" next time.
